I use Sanboxie v 3.38 with Vista Ultimate. I also use KeyScrambler Personal.
I have just upgraded KeyScrambler from v 2.4.1.1 to v 2.5.0.0
My internet Explorer is v 8.
When I open IE8 unsandboxed no problem (ie no message as described below).
When I open IE8 sandboxed I get the message “See what’s new in KeyScrambler 2.5.0.0” – yes/no. This is clearly intended as a once only message to be displayed the first time that the new version of KeyScrambler is used.
If I open a second IE8 window in the same sandbox (as the already open IE8) the message is not displayed for the second IE8 window. If I open an IE8 window in another sandbox I get the message in respect of IE8 in the other sandbox.
I tried creating a brand new sandbox – all settings as at defaults (ie no customisation) – and opened IE 8 in this new sandbox but got the same message.
I have tried rebooting my PC; I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling KeyScrambler. It made no difference to situation as described above.
It is as if the sandboxed IE8 cannot detect that this message has already been shown; whereas the unsandboxed IE recognises that the message has been displayed before and does not show it a second time.
Perhaps it has something to do with the KeyScrambler template in Sandboxie??
I would be grateful if tzuk could investigate and hopefully include a fix in Sandboxie v 3.39.
Many thanks.
PS: Once you get rid of the message KeyScrambler seems to work fine with IE8. Do not get problems reported with FireFox and Opera as in earlier post (http://sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=6058).
PPS: No problem with previous version of KeyScrambler (v 2.4.1.1)
