Hi Street011

What is this sporkeh.cjb supposed to do. I just tried in my VM machine, and I couldn't see anything either in Sandboxie or out. I had to shut off KAV, as it was squealling and blocking but once it was off, still nothing happened.

Pete

it's supposed to:
- Change your resolution to 640x480
- Swap mouse buttons
- Mess up your mouse speed, realy strange effect....

- must be more, i don't know.

the site will start a download only, it's not the site thats infected.
the downloaded file is the bad-ware Smile

Yeah, I downloaded, and extracted it. KAV squealed at it so it was bad, just didn't see any effects in the virtual machine. I guess by comparison to killdisk, a lot of them are mild.

maybe the reason it didnt work is because it probaly needs counter strike in order to run, thats why it is called a counter strike hack, or maybe it just says its a counter strike hack but it isnt really a hack and is actually a virus. Confused

hehe nice idea.. but thats not true, the virus doesn't require any game to be installed, i tested it on a clean VM install.

G'day guys n girls....

Firstly I'd like to say that this program seems awesome (just downloaded it) and is just what I'm looking for.

Reason for my post is because I'd like to do some testing to see for myself just how well it's gonna work for me.

What I'm going to need is information (links, transfers/emails) of the worst virus/trojan/malware and where to get 'em.

So far this thread has mentioned a few which I intend to test out when I get home (at work atm).

Wouldn't mind getting me hands on killdisk.x as it appears to be the most dangerous thus far.

Cheers

No effect here, sandboxed XP SP2, could not execute. Asked to install an Active X, I said OK go for it, and.... nothing.

Forum moderators : assuming you are able to edit others' posts, couldn't you somehow redact links of that type so they can't hit the imprudent ?

Such redacting is often done by replacing "http" with "hxxp".

You know, I though about that, I just wasn't sure how happy some people would be if I was editing other peoples comments. Confused

SNDPHOENIX

Its great, sensitivity to peoples feelings who post whatever, including NASTIES.

What about those who are newbies, naive etc. Strikes me that the moderator is not on top of the job. Particularly when he can be ascerbic at times.

Come on MOVE IT

TerryWood, are you going to blame SnDPhoenix or me for this?
If you're going to blindly click any link you see -- including those described as TROJAN -- then clearly you need to be running in Sandboxie, in which case, it's not a problem.
