Everytime I start a program sandboxed on my WinXP Pro (64 Bit) I get the following error message:

Quote:
SBIE2311 Could not disable recycle bin (BitBucket)

I understand what it's trying to tell me, but I do not know how to solve the error.

Look for the keys in RegEdit:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\BitBucket

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\BrowseNewProcess

Either of them missing?

I have the same problem. I am missing the key in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\BrowseNewProcess
What must I do?

Try creating the key. You could probably leave it empty.

I created the key and left it empty. But the error message still appears. Any ideas?

I looked in my own RegEdit, the key appears as

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\BrowseNewProcess

It's HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE not HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

Sorry for being unclear about this earlier.

Hi

same is here with WinXP Pro (32 bit) with Firefox and IE 6. Registry keys do exist from the Sandboxie install. Also AVG and ZoneAlarm do exist in my (HyperOS 2007) system.

You should check the keys mentioned in this topic, not the keys created by Sandboxie.

Then what did you mean by that phrase: Registry keys do exist from the Sandboxie install?

And precisely which error message are you using?

Alright, open a command prompt and type

Code:
reg query hklm\software\microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\BitBucket

What do you get?

I have to say I have no clue why Sandboxie couldn't access this key, as it is obviously there and accessible.

I can prepare a version of SbieDll which would print debugging information for every step involved in this particular operation of disabling the BitBucket. You would need DebugView to view the output. Are you interested?

And by the way, for now you can tell Sandboxie to hide these messages, by adding in the GlobalSection of Sandboxie.ini:

I will try if it's not too compicated.
I think the strange behavior can be related to cloned by HyperOs 2007 WinXP Pro (http://www.hyperossystems.co.uk/): mayby some registry keys or access to registry or so ...
