I installed www.cakepoker.com INTO my sandbox. When the installer completed it asked if I want to "Run CakePoker Now?" and I chose yes. Then I got four of the errors in the title, "Could not execute SandboxieCrypto.exe". The game then dims out and I get a Windows popup saying that its not responding.

I don't see the shortcut in the sandboxie start menu, but I can re-start the application from C:\Sandbox|\drive\ProgramFiles\etc and the error reproduces.

Sandbox is pretty much default, no access settings have been changed.

Maybe a Win 7 problem?
On XP there's no problem running the program in a sandbox:

Plus, there are program shortcuts on the Sandboxie Start Menu.

On 64-bit Windows 7, I get the error "Could not execute SandboxieCrypto.exe" as reported. I will look into it and try to fix it, but it might a while before I can get to it.

Also, I just installed CakePoker into my main drive outside the sandbox, and somehow it remembered my username and auto logged me in.. although i'm not sure how it did that

This time I'm trying to install this poker game INTO my sandbox:

Its one of those installers where it downloads and extracts stuff. It silently quits after it downloads and extracts. I'm pretty certain the installer doesn't complete.

When I try to run the shortcuts from Sandboxie Start Menu, I get a Windows error. Looking at the shortcut here:
C:\Sandbox\lim\testbox\user\public\Desktop\BovadaPoker.lnk
The shortcut file is looking for C:\Bovada\BovadaPoker.exe
however that file doesnt exist, only a subdirectory \original.
I'm pretty sure if the installer completed the first time, it would run the app from the original directory, which would then download the latest files into the main directory

so instead I run the file
C:\Sandbox\lim\testbox\drive\C\Bovada\original\BovadaPoker.exe

it gives me the UAC prompt, I give it admin credentials.

I immediately notice that the program is NOT being run sandboxed. This is despite me running the file WITHIN the sandboxie directory. So I closed it out.

Now my Google Chrome will not load any pages including its own settings page. I don't know if its related or not.

There is a problem report about Chrome 21.0.1180.60 not working well under Sandboxie.

Therefore your problem with Chrome may not have anything to do with the Poker program.

Can you check your version of Chrome please?

But the poker game def isn't installing correctly

I don't have an immediate answer for your Poker problem, but I'll make a note to try to install this program and see if I can reproduce the error.

Its just something strange, like one of those installers that starts another installer or something. Or maybe it tries to run its own app automatically but can't do it.

I tried looking into this problem but I'm afraid this Poker program includes built-in countermeasures which prevent me from analysing it, so I decided to not investigate this further.

As a workaround for the problem with SandboxieCrypto, it is possible to manually run (using Sandboxie "Run Any Program") the SandboxieCrypto.exe program from the Sandboxie program folder, before trying to install the Poker program into the sandbox.

Another problem I ran into is this. When the Poker program installation completes, the Poker program runs. If you then close the program and try to restart it (using Sandboxie "Run From Start Menu"), the program will refuse to start, saying installation was not complete.

Bovada Poker

Did not see any issues while installing or running this Poker program. Should be noted that I only tested using recent Sandboxie beta builds (3.81.xx), and not version 3.72.

Try to run it with Cake Poker software. Gives this error. There was a problem starting the pokerclient please reinstall software. <--- This doesn't resolve the problem.

CakePoker is a piece of (censored) quite frankly, so I'm not surprised you are running into troubles
