Have you updated flash player outside the sandbox? I'm thinking it's looking for some tidbit to indicate it's status, or that the code embedded in the pages you visit is seeking some cookie or other indicator that you have the latest version or have been prompted to get it. It could also theoretically relate to some flash blocking software you may have, but who knows.
For what it's worth, about a day ago I saw pretty much the same thing you saw, using IE8 or IE9 inside Sandboxie, on a pc that does not yet have the latest version of flash player. But it only happened on a page with fancy embedding, and it didn't require any interaction from me, I only had to wait a moment for the message to clear and the video to load. This was the page with the delay: http://www.dcshoes.com/uk/en/auto/videos/gymkhana-5-urban-playground While this is the direct youtube link with no such error message/delay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuDN2bCIyus That's some fancy stunt driving through the streets of San Franciso. |

Flash Player is/was updated outside of sandbox.
Your link (page wit hdelay) tells me that I don't have latest version of Player installed - and then continues (no popup asking to install). The direct link works fine. Thanks... this at least gives me something to look at (soon as I get a chance). MattZ |

Update -- solved.
Just in case someone else need sit, thanks to loid's link it looked like my flash player was not th eright version - except that I had updated it. So i looked aroun some more and found this link: http://flashtester.org/ which suggested that I had a bad installation. I tried uninstalling flash - NG. So i got the uninstall program (via flashtester's page), ran it (outside of sandbox), rebooted, ran the new install (outside of sandbox - using downloaded excutable - like falshtester suggested), rebooted, and voila! So far, no more problem. But loid's link still tells me I have the wrong version of flash. I'm thinking that link is wrong. Anyway, fixed... HTH, MattZ. |
