Win XP - SP 2 - 32bit.
Outlook Express 6.

Just upgraded from 3.69.04 to 3.69.05. When opening Outlook Express I get this Error.

Quote:
SBIE1308 Program cannot start due to restrictions - dwwin.exe [DefaultBox]
SBIE2222 To add the program to Start/Run Access Restrictions, please double-click on this message line
SBIE1308 Program cannot start due to restrictions - drwtsn32.exe [DefaultBox]
SBIE2222 To add the program to Start/Run Access Restrictions, please double-click on this message line

When I allowed dwwin.exe and tried to open outlook Express, the Browser would open, but then locked-up with no Internet connection.

All's OK when I reverted back to 3.69.04

Other than that, .. no problem.

I messed something up in version 3.69.05. Sorry! I just uploaded a refresh version .05 which should fix this problem. Please download and reinstall .05 again to see if it fixes your problem.

Hi,
I have encountered 2 problems with Sandboxie started with SB Beta 3.69.05.

Firefox v12.0 immediately crashes when sandboxed:

Microsoft Excel (Office 2007) do not respond (no error message) when sandboxed:

[EDIT]

Resource Access Monitor Firefox: link no more necessary
Resource Access Monitor Excel: link no more necessary

[/EDIT]

I have reverted back to v3.69.04 and now all it's Ok.

The problem occurs on both my:
Windows XP Home 32-bit (all service packs and updates applied)
Avira Antivirus Premium 2012

The first release of 3.69.05 was buggy, sorry about that.
Please get the updated version.

Thanks a lot, Ronen.

Everything seems to be working OK now with the "Fix".

Appreciate your work. Very Happy

Can't start any programs in Sanboxie (3.68 and 3.69.5) after install SP3 and some other security updates** on my XP-SP2.
Now always receive SBIE2306 [C0000022/11] + SBIE2304 [Start.exe]

** P.S. "some other security updates":

Some Windows Updates did keep Sandboxie from working, in the past.
Sandboxie checks for updates KB979683 and KB2633171 .
It may also check for KB981852 and KB2393802, but I'm not sure about those.
Your list shows the KB2393802 update.

[Edit]I've had a chance to review the KB2393802 update, to see which files it affects.
Apparently, Sandboxie doesn't check to see if that update has been installed, in order to determine if you have the latest kernel updates, but KB2393802 does update the kernel files.

In order to get Sandboxie working, the easiest way is to add a Registry Key that Sandboxie checks for.
Create a registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP4\KB979683
I can provide help in creating this key, if you need help.

When you run Windows Update, does it show you that no other updates are needed?
Thank you for help. I temporary turn on Automatic Update (only inform/dont download) and check out all available update. KB2393802 was in list. I install that update and now my problem looks solved.
