Hello all!

I downloaded and installed SBIE today, and when i tried to empty my sandbox it said something like: "some programs could not be closed, sandbox failed to empty". This was after i have just entered and exited IE, and the only file left in the sandbox was klwtblfs.exe (a Kaspersky thingy). The only way i was able to remove it was by rebooting my computer, but when i tried IE again the same problem occurred. When i opened up another IE page in the same sandbox as the exe it came up another one, but when i closed the page the new exe was gone but the old one still there.

So what should i do?

Another question, every time i open up IE two iexplorer.exe comes up.

Also how do i post pictures here so i can show you a print screen if you want?

Im running a XP Sp3 32 Bit with Kaspersky Pure as av suite, my Sandboxie version is 3.62. If it has any importance my web browser IE8.

Best regards

Maybe the Kaspersky file is conflicting with SBIE. If you have not applied Software compatibility, do it now. Go to Sandbox settings>Applications>Security/Privacy and choose Kaspersky. Doing this should help.

I have applied software compatibility for the only Kaspersky choice i found, but it doesn't say specifically Kaspersky Pure but that shouldn't matter right?

Is it still possible that the av and sbie are conflicting and if so how should i solve it?

Before applying other solutions check if software compatibility resolves the issue. If not, then maybe you could try to configure Kaspersky to ignore sandbox folder.

I had a discussion in the past about klwtblfs.exe process that don't go away.

http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=8410

Back then it had something to do with dropping rights. Do you use any kind of a "drop rights" feature?

I have tried the software compatibility thing but it dident help, and i will try to make Kaspersky ignore the sandbox folder if i cant solve it in a other way.

To my knowledge i dont use any kind of a "drop rights" feature, is there any way i can check that to become sure?

You have to excuse me for my unknowledge of what "drop rights" features do/are... Embarassed

If you don't know what it is, then you're probably not using it, so don't worry about it.

I will look into a possible conflict with Kaspersky and let you know what I find out.

Somehow when i tested it right now all was ok... The only thing i had done was to restart the computer after a windows update and the the problem disappeared. I'm really confused as i had restarted the computer before and then the problem reoccurred but not now. Well i'm happy, but confused. Question

Btw i really like your product tzuk (you are the developer, right?) and wish you good luck with improving it... if that is even possible Wink

The problem came back, but... it seems to occur only when klwtblfs.exe starts/ends up before SandboxieRpcSs.exe and SandboxieDcomLaunch.exe. in the Sandboxie Control.

A temporary solution to this until it gets fixed (if it is a problem and not my computer), is to run a program that doesn't require/use klwtblfs.exe like WMP (at least that's what i used). Though sometimes when running the web browser directly the problem will not occur.

The related topic which I linked to earlier also mentions SandboxieDcomLaunch as having something to do with this. Thanks for this tip, I will focus on it when I look into this. I need to finish some work I've already started and then I will look into this potential conflict with Kaspersky PURE.

No problem, I'm just happy to help in any way i can.

Oh and i didn't completely finish the temporary workaround so here is a complete description:

1. Run a program that doesn't require/use klwtblfs.exe like WMP before you run your web browser.
2. When finished on the web close the web browser before WMP. (This step isn't always required but is a good precaution)
