Programs in the sandbox can't manage the firewall outside the sandbox, you'll have to do that manually.

Configuring you locally installed firewall might not be enough. You might need to configure port forwarding in your router. Google your router model to find its default ip address and credentials, then access the settings interface to enable what's necessary.

| Can sandboxed programs add exceptions to Windows Firewall? |

Does it take to enable some sort of setting? The settings in Low-Level Access don't seem to matter.
Thanks! |

At this time it's not possible, but this is a limitation that I'm aware of. I may add a setting to permit this in the future.

In version 3.63.01, a program in the sandbox should be able to talk to Windows Firewall API and add exceptions.
I don't know if other firewall software respects the Windows Firewall API, anyone who wants to test this is welcome to post their findings. Please note that the new setting BlockNetParam must permit this. Related topic: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=12110 |

although it may be convenient i suggest to turn off upnp service for security reason. any program which has access to upnp can open any time any port for intrusion. in times where amount of new malware samples is >10k a day... |
