Franck I'm afraid I still can't reproduce the problem. Perhaps a Resource Access Monitor log would help:

Previouslog was from sbie 3.56.
Situation is indeed better with 3.57.02 but the problem is not fixed yet. Now the browser doesnt freeze and the page starts to load. Then it stops saying a script is busy on the page => keep waiting / stop script are the two alternatives.
Hereis the log from 3.57.02!

Here's what I would try, for the sandbox involved:

Sandbox Settings > Resource Access > File Access > Full Access
"Add" button:
\Device\NamedPipe\jpi2_pid*_pipe*

OK your way out.
----
There's one other (apparently) java resource showing:
Ipc \Sessions\1\BaseNamedObjects\jpi2_pid2492_evt3
but I would start by trying the ones above.

When trying to access www.time.gov and selecting my time zone I get ...
SBIE2314 Cancelling Process Java.exe after which Firefox quits responding.

Sandboxie 3.56 64 bit
Experimental protection on

Your resource log shows more resources than I expected and suggests that you have some third-party software in the mix. I see in your log that you have a Windows Table Component (as indicated by resources with TIPTSF in the name). Is this something that you know how to remove? I would like to see if it has any effect here.

I tried turning off the experimental protection and Java is working fine again.

1/ Tzuk
As a matter of fact, my win7 laptop is a kind of tablet PC. (it's the acer iconia tab)
I don't know how to disable this stuff, but I think it's pretty normal given that this is a kind of tab...
That said I didn't removed yet all the acer preloaded crap, maybe there is some useless running processes.

The only third-party background running software that I installed are KIS 2012, winpatrol and zentimo (a usb management tool), and a canon utility for my printer (+ sbie obviously Smile

I tried the trick to no avail. When I press OK, the setting window is dismmissed but no exception is added to the list.

What is experimental protection and how do you trigger it ?

This is exactly the same problem I have, when trying to run any java app within firefox. Disabling experimental protection fixes it as well.

knuddels.de indeed now works but my dictionary still doesn't.

Using sysinternals process explorer I watched what is going on when I launch the dictionary from firefox.

+) Using my XP computer, outside of any sandbox
Status : Working
Processes tree : firefox.exe > java.exe (That's all I can see before the word search page is loaded !)

+) Using my XP computer, within a sandbox
Status : working
Processes tree : firefox.exe > java.exe > showp.exe (component of the dictionary that loads, then closes when the word search page is loaded)
(That said, I don't understant why these two cases are not identical)

+) Using my Win7 32bits tablet, outside of any sandbox
Status : working
Processes tree : firefox.exe > jp2launcher.exe > java.exe > showp.exe (like in previous case, loads, then closes dictionary is ready)

+) Using my Win7 32bits tablet, within a sandbox
Status : firefox freezes with last sbie stable build ; dictionary reports loading failure when using latest beta build
Processes tree : firefox.exe > jp2launcher.exe > java.exe > showp.exe > WerFault.exe (launches exactly the same time as his parent ; showp.exe and child close together as soon as the dictionary reports it won't load)

I hope this will help to sort out what's going on here !
Thanks

What's changed to fix the problem?

As for the dictionary software, what is it exactly? Is there a free download for it available anywhere?
