Can not print from IE or Firefox while sandboxed

Hi. In the past few days, I have noticed that I can not print webpages while using Firefox or IE8 sandboxed. For Firefox (running 3.6.13), an unknown printer error message appears. For IE8, the option to print doesn't even come up. Print previews yield the same problem respectively. There are no problems when trying to do the same with the programs when not sandboxed. I deleted Sandboxie and installed 3.52 64 bit (I have Win7 64 bit). I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the most recent updates for Windows (SP1?). Since I haven't had the need to print much recently, I can not pinpoint exactly when this problem started. There hasn't been much in the way of this problem being reported on the forum. Is there a way to pinpoint the problem and get this problem solved? Thanks.

Can you print from a sandboxed Notepad?

I'm having the same problem, can't print from Firefox or Thunderbird while sandboxed. I can print from a sandboxed WordPad though.

I've made 3 changes to my system since Tuesday and don't recall if I've tried printing from the browser since doing the following:
1) Windows 7 x64 installed SP1
2) Updated Sandboxie to version 3.52
3) Updated Avast anti-virus to version 6.0.1000

I'll restore my system to where it was before the above changes over the weekend and see if I can pinpoint which change might be causing the problem.

It's got something to do with Windows 7 SP1.

I restored my pre SP1 image and then updated as follows.

Updated Sandboxie from version 3.50 to 3.52 - no problem printing from sandboxed browser.

Updated Avast anti-virus from version 5.1.889 to 6.0.100 - no problem printing from sandboxed browser

Installed Windows 7 X64 SP1 from Windows Update - can't print from sandboxed browser.

It seems Windows 7 Service Pack 1 causes some compatibility issues with Sandboxie. I'll start looking into this immediately.

Thanks. I look forward to a resolution. I wonder if it is a 64 bit thing or a Win 7 thing.

FYI, I've got two identical notebooks, both loaded with the same drive image the day before Win7-SP1 was pushed to both.
One of them can print from IE8 when sandboxed, they other can't (just hangs) - bizarre.

Notepad and Wordpad work just fine...

Only difference is perhaps one of them had some different toolback settings (Google, etc.), and iTunes install. Will report if I find the trigger...

Thank you for this problem report.

I can confirm that Windows 7 Service Pack 1 causes this issue: There is a minor change in how the 32-bit print spooler operates. This also explains why notepad and wordpad don't exhibit this problem, because usually the 64-bit versions for these apps are called, and not the 32-bit versions.

Will be fixed in the next beta build, version 3.53.05, which I will release probably tomorrow.

Version 3.53.05 beta took care of the printing problem here.

Thank you.
