Jon7. Your default browser is not really Firefox. Use "Default Programs" in Windows to fix that. And read this topic:

Do you think the crash happens as a result of something you do, or just a random crash after using Firefox for a while?
Also are using a stable version of Firefox or a beta?

You experience the same crashes when not using Sandboxie?
So that would mean that the crashes are not caused by Sandboxie, right?

I'm having a few issues with .08

-In Internet Explorer, I receive a "Internet Explorer has stopped working" prompt when I go to a page with embedded content. Pressing Close program recovers the tab and the embedded content then works fine.

-Sandboxed applications cannot play sound.

Thanks for the problem report. I also see "Internet Explorer has stopped working" when visiting a page with Flash content, but then I click the message away, and IE seems to open the page correctly, the second time. And I can get audio from the sandboxed browser.

Pleae see if enabling the following checkbox fixes your audio problem:
Sandbox Settings > Restrictions > Hardware Access > Permit programs to manage hardware device configuration

Hi, I am having similar issue in Firefox:
when I hover with a mouse over flash video, e.g. Youtube, UI hangs, sound continues. In other words Firefox becomes unresponsive.
Running outside of the sandbox does not have this issue, and I tried your proposed workaround above, unfortunatelly did not help.
Thanks.

Followed that, still no sound in sandboxed programs. As an example, sandboxed Windows Media Player says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly."

Thank you for the problem reports about audio issues in Windows 8. Please check if the official release (version 3.74) fixes your problem.

tzuk, the issue of hanging video still occurs to me in 3.74.
Found out that it is about the Windows Access.
Added this to INI section:
Code:
OpenWinClass=*

And it is fine now, but of course this is not the sollution, just a temporary workaround.

Please let me know if I can help debugging the cause. Thanks.
