"c:Windows\Installer" with error code 2333 when the installer writes to the directory. No problem when the installer does not backup files in the directory. A workaround is to temporarily revert the junction to local for the installation and restore the junction after installation is completed. The sandbox works fine afterwards, only the process is a bit tedious. A fix would be appreciated, if not too much trouble.

btw, it's quite useful to keep windows' Installer directory as as junction on the root drive to prevent it from ballooning out of control.

Version 3.72 does not include error 2333. And you didn't include the Sandboxie version number in your problem report.

Apologies, tzuk. I should have been more precise.

The problem was with 3.81 betas including 06. The error message was not from Sandboxie but the installers, which quit after closing the message window. Just checked that 3.72 is OK.

Are you sure it was message 2333 ? Can you double check?
Better yet, reproduce the problem and then use the "Copy messages to clipboard" button in the Messages from Sandboxie window (the error message window) and paste the exact message here.

Sorry, in my last comment I was still assuming the error you quote was from Sandboxie. When trying to reproduce I see that it's Windows Installer issuing the error 2333. So I can confirm the problem, and please disregard my earlier comment. I'll see what I can do about it.

Should be fixed in version 3.81.07. This problem is not specific to Windows Installer, it was a minor glitch in how Sandboxie handles junction directories.
