I re-installed Chrome and it still does not work when sandboxed.

Ok tzuk, I have some better information now

It seems like it only fails when sandboxie runs Chrome as a Forced Program. I'm using the Chrome template under Applications in the sandbox settings.

When I right click on the shortcut, and choose 'Run Sandboxed', then Chrome will successfully run in any sandbox I choose, and I won't get the light blue. But when I just doubleclick the shortcut and allow sandboxie to force it into my DefaultBox, I get that light blue background in Chrome.

Maybe when my computer crashes while Chrome is running sandboxed, then Sandboxie doesn't handle it properly and leaves Chorme in this limbo state? Maybe my computer is crashing because of Sandboxie+Chrome?

I searched google and the light blue Chrome thing has happened to a bunch of people throughout the years, unrelated to sandboxie. Also, I am not using OA or whatever the other guy was using. Win 7 x64, sandboxie 3.72

Happened again to me today, I'm not using OA or anything.

I get the Chrome light blue screen when trying to run sandboxed. Runnin un-sandboxed works fine. I have to delete the contents of my sandbox to get it to run sandboxed again.

Its very annoying because deleteing my sandbox causes me to lose all my cookies and saved logins

So is there a reason why you're not saving your Chrome cookies outside of he sandbox?

I just checked every "allow direct access" checkbox under application-webbrowser-chrome, and still when I delete my sandbox, my logins aren't saved, and it asks me to sign into chrome again with my google account

In fact, after I delete my sandbox, I can then only run Chrome sandboxed once. If I close it and try to open it again sandboxed, I get the light blue screen. Then I have to delete the sandbox again.

So is it Chrome synching that you are referring to?

If that's the case: then if you are signed in to your Google account while Chrome is not sandboxed (and then exit Chrome), and you run sandboxed Chrome (starting with an empty sandbox), aren't you signed in when sandboxed Chrome starts up?

Sandboxie's templates for Chrome assume a default location for the Chrome profile folder:
Vista/7: C:\Users\(user)\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default

Check to verify that your Chrome "Default" folder is located there.

Once you get to the point where your data, like bookmarks, cookies, logins, etc are saved outside of the sandbox, the safest thing that you can do is to set the sandbox to auto-delete the contents each time that you exit sandboxed Chrome.

I'm not able to run Chrome as a forced program because I am on the trial version of sandboxie, but I also see the issue with the latest versions of Chrome and SandboxIE.

I don't use OA.

At work my SandboxIE hasn't worked at all for the last few weeks.

At home it has been working intermittently. At one point all open pages would work perfectly, but new tabs would not work at all. Then after some of the other updates everything is now working perfectly again at home...

I'm using SandboxIE version 3.72 (64bit), and Chrome version 21.0.1180.79 m.

Updated to the latest Chrome version 21.0.1180.83 m, but the issue still persists.

Whenever I run Chrome in the sandbox the background is light blue, instead of white and none of the pages load.

When I run Chrome normally all of the pages work perfectly.

I don't use OA, and I'm on the trial version of SandboxIE.

So when you use it at work, you're using your commercial license aren't you?
Oh, wait. I guess not.

You haven't messed with any acceleration settings have you:
chrome://flags/

The only blue I ever see is during page transitions, when one page closes and the next opens.

Luckily this time, all of my stuff is somehow saved. Whether I run chrome sandboxed or not, my site logins are all saved. So this time I could safely delete my sandbox, google chrome bluescreen disappeared, and my settings were still saved.



Chrome has had this problem before, not solely related to sandboxie. Google it, its all over the place.
