Any SBIE Videos Available?

Does there exist any good videos for beginners to watch, that teaches what SBIE is, what it does and how to use it? And which talks about every single feature and what it does. Any such video exist? If not, can someone please create one?

Some people can learn well from reading, but many people as myself learn the best by watching, and find it hard to learn through reading.

So would be great if a video existed for us Visual people who learn the most through videos and not reading.

Cheers!

YES I did, but no SBIE video exists that explains every feature indepth, and no video exists for a beginner to get a good idea about everything with SBIE.

If such video exists, can you please give me the direct link?

Cheers!

Any chance of creating a video that explains EVERY feature, from start to end? Good for beginners and people who love indepth knowledge.

For I find those videos that you linked to, just explain WHAT SBIE does, and doesn't explain CONFIGURATION and meaning and purpose of settings.

Who's going to spend hours of their time to make hours of videos?
That's what it would take.
And as soon as a configuration feature is changed or added/deleted, you need to redo or create another video.
Can you give any examples of programs that explain their every configuration option in instructional videos?
Most people didn't even read the printed manuals that used to be included with programs, so how many would spend hours of their time watching hours worth of videos?

Thank you Very Happy

I have seen lots of SBIE videos, but notice they all show what SBIE can do. But nobody, not even Mr Tzuk has ever created a video that goes through the BACKEND settings, one by one, explaining and showing in depth what each setting does etc.

So can I please ask someone who is experienced to create a video, click on "Sandbox Settings" and then on the left menu, starting from "Apperance" and all the way down to "User Accounts" and explain every single setting.

Thank you to whoever that person will be Very Happy

And that Mr Tzuk can add that video to the SBIE website.

Using your reasoning, then SBIE should not have a single video on their website either.

Someone can create a video that explains the settings in the BACKEND and it will not have to take hours, but an explanation and example of each setting would be great. Can be done in a reasonable time frame, not hours and hours at all! And many settings in the BACKEND will have long term application, so the video will last for ages for people to see.

Thanks in advance to someone who can sit down with SBIE, open up "Sandbox Settings" and explain each setting on the left menu. Even if it takes 30-45minutes, it would be truly appreciated by millions of people Very Happy

Just because someone has a good working knowledge of SBIE doesn't mean they have *any* expertise at all in making videos. You're WAYYYYY off the mark if you think it would only take 30-45 minutes. The only way it could possibly take that short a length of time is if there's someone out there with a very in depth knowledge of SBIE who also has extensive experience in making videos and writing out concise, well thought out scripts to follow.... and I doubt there's such a person out there.

Go on Youtube and look at any home made 'how to' video. It's usually a well meaning individual who's *trying* to explain something to the viewing audience, but it's full of awkward pauses in the narration, and a bunch of "umm," "uh," and so on.

Bottom line - it's not gonna happen.

I was hoping someone could record themselves, going through the SBIE settings and give a brief explanation on each one. Is any person on this forum able to do that? Even if it's brief, better than nothing.

Thanks.

Have a nice day Cool

I am afraid you simply aren't going to get video's. I've have made some video's of other things, and it is a time consuming process. I don't use that many of Sandboxie features, but it would probably take me 2 evenings to just cover what I use. Fraid I just don't see it being worth my time.

You are going to have to spend some time yourself, to learn to use what you need. Let me give you a starting point.

I've created a sandbox for each of my browsers and Outlook. I start by deciding what I need to let run in each sandbox and nothing else. Then I decide what of those programs need to access the Internet. You can look hear or ask and learn how to do those things. Also I don't want any internet facing programs to access my data, so I restrict that. You as a next step learn how to do that. After you get the basics, if you want to play with advanced stuff you can.

Tonyseeking, SBIE is like a lot of tools, You have to put in the effort to learn. SBIE is a phenomenal tool, at a ridiculously low price. The price you pay for that is that you have to make the effort to learn.

Read a lot of the threads here, and enjoy the learning experience.

Ok Peter, but I am still hopeful that someone may want to put in the HUGE effort to create a SBIE video explaining each setting. Very Happy
