Hi,
I wonder is it possible (and how) scenario like this:

I just buy ssd and i'am looking the ways to reduce writing on it so i would like to have
sandboxied firefox cache on ram disk but all my downloads on normal
sandboxie installation on my C:\Sandbox drive since in case of power problems or bsod's all downloading
in progress will be gone on ram disk.

Thanks.

You could keep everything related to your browser on the RAM Disk and set it to auto-save changes to the image every 15 minutes, but to answer your question, use folder junctions. This is a great utility for junctions, but there are other possibilities to create junctions as well (maybe your file manager supports creating them).

Yes, it's possible although I wish you had mentioned which browser you will use.

First, create a new sandbox in Sandboxie Control, that you will use with the Ram drive, if you don't already have one:
Sandbox > Create New Sandbox
Use the templates at:
Sandbox Settings > Applications > Web Browser > (browser name)
to allow things that you do want to be saved outside of the sandbox, like bookmarks.

Set your downloads folder as a Quick Recovery folder:
Sandbox Settings > Recovery > Quick Recovery
such as C:\Downloads, or whatever folder you want them saved to, outside of any sandbox.

Manually add a new line to the configuration file for that sandbox, that will put that sandbox on the Ram drive:
(Using: Configure > Edit Configuration)
In this example, the new sandbox is called "RamDrive" (use your own sandbox name)
The example also uses K: for the Ram drive letter. Substitute your own drive letter in place of "K"

[RamDrive]

FileRootPath=K:\%SANDBOX%
Enabled=y
ConfigLevel=7
AutoRecover=y
Template=BlockPorts
...
...

This will create the sandbox folder K:\RamDrive when the sandbox is used.
I don't see a reason to have the sandbox folder underneath another folder, but you could use something like:
FileRootPath=K:\Sandbox\%SANDBOX%
to get the sandbox at:
K:\Sandbox\RamDrive

Create a shortcut that will run the browser using that sandbox:
Configure > Windows Shell Integration > "Create Shortcut Icons" button

Make sure that your browser's download option is set to save downloads to the folder you set as a Quick Recovery folder.
And of course, the Ram drive must be mounted before you can use it for the sandbox.

Do you have a downloads folder on C: set as a Quick Recovery folder, such as "C:\Downloads", first of all.
If your browser is set to download files to "C:\Downloads" then the only other thing that I can think of is that you don't have Immediate Recovery turned on.
Sandbox Settings > Recovery > Immediate Recovery

If it's not on, then you need to run Quick Recovery while the Ram disk is still mounted, by right-clicking the Sandboxie Control tray icon, and then pick Quick Recovery from the sandbox menu there.

If that's not the problem, use Configure > Edit Configuration and copy the settings underneath the Ram disk sandbox, and post a copy in a message here.

Still not working. I resolved the problem with real-time back-up software.

Thanks
