Hello
Guest
|
ok just did a fresh reinstall.
I clicked "getting started" and it took me to the tutorial page that showed me how I can open a weblink in sandboxie. Anyway, I said okay lets do it, and clicked the link to open but it gave me this error message: SBIE2305 Out of Memory. I found I got the same error message when trying to launch Diablo 2 now. I don't know why the program isn't given enough memory. I have 8gig and only using about 20% of it. Theres plenty of memory for all! p.s. when I first installed sandboxie diablo 2 opened fine. |

Hi, I'm not sure this is the right place for my questions, but I'm at the very first run and the program doesn't start ...
this is an old machine running XP and following the tutorial I got: SBIE2313 Could not execute SandboxieRpcSs.exe (14001) SBIE2204 Cannot start sandboxed service RpcSs (14001) SBIE2204 Cannot start sandboxed service RpcSs (-1) ... repeated infinitely ... I checked configurations and are all clean, no firewall or a/v software running. following your suggestions [tzuk] I got the Resources that are: (Drive) \Device\CdRom0 (Drive) \Device\Floppy0 (Drive) \Device\HarddiskVolume1 (Drive) \Device\HarddiskVolume2 (Drive) \Device\HarddiskVolume3 (Unk) 00000002 \Device\CdRom0 (Unk) 00000039 \Device\KsecDD Clsid ------------------------------- File/Key ------------------------------- Image ------------------------------- Image *:\program files\sandboxie\start.exe Image c:\documents and settings\administrator\application data\remote\fibk57.dll Image c:\program files\sandboxie\sbiedll.dll Image c:\program files\sandboxie\sbiemsg.dll Image c:\windows\system32\advapi32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\comdlg32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\gdi32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\kernel32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\msctf.dll Image c:\windows\system32\msvcp60.dll Image c:\windows\system32\msvcrt.dll Image c:\windows\system32\netapi32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\ntdll.dll Image c:\windows\system32\ole32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\oleaut32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\rpcrt4.dll Image c:\windows\system32\setupapi.dll Image c:\windows\system32\shell32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\shlwapi.dll Image c:\windows\system32\user32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\uxtheme.dll Image c:\windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft.windows.common-controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.0.0_x-ww_1382d70a\comctl32.dll Ipc ------------------------------- Ipc \BaseNamedObjects\SBIE_DummyEvent_2008 Ipc \BaseNamedObjects\SBIE_RPCSS_SXS_READY Ipc \BaseNamedObjects\SBIE_ServiceInitComplete_RpcSs Ipc \BaseNamedObjects\shell.{210A4BA0-3AEA-1069-A2D9-08002B30309D} Ipc \BaseNamedObjects\shell.{7CB834F0-527B-11D2-9D1F-0000F805CA57} Ipc \BaseNamedObjects\shell.{A48F1A32-A340-11D1-BC6B-00A0C90312E1} Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\CiceroSharedMemDefault Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.TimListMUTEX. What is the fibk57.dll which appears in your log?
If you google fibk57.dll, the first results all indicate that it is malware. Try to remove malware from your system before installing Sandboxie. |

thank you for your answer! I don't know what fibk57.dll was, it was marked a google application but I already noted it (it was one of the reason I'm looking for sandboxing ... also the "Remote" folder doesn't like to me! however, finall I get rid of it from a safe mode session, run again SB and got the same messages and this new resources: line disappeared Image c:\documents and settings\administrator\application data\remote\fibk57.dll Image c:\windows\system32\msvcp60.dll Image c:\windows\system32\oleaut32.dll Ipc O \KnownDlls\oleaut32.dll changed from Ipc \BaseNamedObjects\SBIE_DummyEvent_2008 to Ipc \BaseNamedObjects\SBIE_DummyEvent_1280 please, note that this is a very old installation, with poor upgrade since I need a very controlled environment. the 14001 code can be of any help? thx you so much for all your efforts ... |

I got sometimes this line:
SBIE2203 Failed to communicate with Sandboxie Service: RPCSS_SXS - Start.exe [C0000034] by the way, can free memory be an issue? I've around 200MB free on HD before starting the application. the application claim a fail due to incorrect configuration and ask to reinstall ... (I did countless ...) |

Edit your Sandboxie.ini configuration file, for example through Sandboxie Control > Configure menu > Edit Configuration.
Find the heading [DefaultBox] and paste this line somewhere below it: DisableBoxedWinSxS=y Let's see if this makes a difference. Make sure to save the configuration file and then use the Reload Configuration command from that same Configure menu. |

hi Tzuk! I did, putting the line at the end, first, and then at the beginning of the DefaultBox section, with no apparent changes. I'm working with 363-03 version. there's no more 30sec update of errors and a major change in resurces: (Drive) \Device\CdRom0 (Drive) \Device\Floppy0 (Drive) \Device\HarddiskVolume1 (Drive) \Device\HarddiskVolume2 (Drive) \Device\HarddiskVolume3 (Unk) 00000002 \Device\CdRom0 (Unk) 00000039 \Device\KsecDD Clsid ------------------------------- File/Key ------------------------------- Image ------------------------------- Image *:\program files\sandboxie\start.exe Image c:\program files\sandboxie\sbiedll.dll Image c:\program files\sandboxie\sbiemsg.dll Image c:\windows\system32\advapi32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\comdlg32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\gdi32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\kernel32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\msctf.dll Image c:\windows\system32\msvcrt.dll Image c:\windows\system32\netapi32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\ntdll.dll Image c:\windows\system32\ole32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\rpcrt4.dll Image c:\windows\system32\setupapi.dll Image c:\windows\system32\shell32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\shlwapi.dll Image c:\windows\system32\user32.dll Image c:\windows\system32\uxtheme.dll Image c:\windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft.windows.common-controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.0.0_x-ww_1382d70a\comctl32.dll Ipc ------------------------------- Ipc \BaseNamedObjects\SBIE_DummyEvent_232 Ipc \BaseNamedObjects\SBIE_ServiceInitComplete_RpcSs Ipc \BaseNamedObjects\shell.{210A4BA0-3AEA-1069-A2D9-08002B30309D} Ipc \BaseNamedObjects\shell.{7CB834F0-527B-11D2-9D1F-0000F805CA57} Ipc \BaseNamedObjects\shell.{A48F1A32-A340-11D1-BC6B-00A0C90312E1} Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\CiceroSharedMemDefault Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IAH.BF.NEJNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IAH.CF.NEJNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IAH.DF.NEJNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IAH.EF.FGKNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IAH.FF.FGKNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IAH.GF.FGKNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IMG..DEJNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IMG.B.NEJNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IMG.C.NEJNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IMG.D.NEJNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IMG.E.NEJNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IMG.F.NEJNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IMG.G.NEJNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IMG.H.FGKNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IMG.I.FGKNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IMG.J.FGKNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IMG.K.FGKNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IMG.L.FGKNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.MarshalInterface.FileMap.IMG.M.FGKNKE Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.SendReceive.Event.IAH.IC Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.Shared.MUTEX.IAH Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.Shared.SFM.IAH Ipc O \BaseNamedObjects\MSCTF.TimListMUTEX. No, this merely confirms what I already knew: That your problem has something to do with a change related to WINSXS, which was introduced in version 3.51. Would you consider updating your Windows XP ? |

that's not the kind of thing I'd like to listen ... I'm planning to move on a netbook in the next future, but I'd like to do only minor change on this machine. the DisableBoxedWinSxS switch you suggest me to set can be useful in this case? what is expected to do? it make sense to test it on old versions (from 350 to 360)? there are any other workaround? thank you so much for your effort!!! |
