Using 64bit Windows 7 and Sandboxie 3.60.
Sandboxie doesn't play nicely with F-Secure 2012.Have tried turning off Firewall, application control and Deepguard advanced process monitoring.F-Secure 2011 worked perfectly so can only assume a minor tweak is needed. Please advise. Thanks.

I will take a look into this. But saying "doesn't play nice" is a bit vague -- what specific incompatibility should I be looking for?

Using Internet Explorer 9 Version 9.0.8112.16421 Update Version 9.0.3. and Sandboxie 3.60 64 Bit (paid).

On opening Sandboxie default box (my other tighter configuration sandboxes respond in the same manner), Internet Explorer partly loads ( does not show File, Edit,View, Favourites.Tools, Help bar) and goes no further.Nothing opens. Cannot access any websites. Will not close by ticking x box top right ( screen shows explorer is not responding) and has to be closed by "terminate all programmes" in Sandboxie icon sub menu.

I have not experienced this problem before as F-Secure 2011 worked flawlessly with Sandboxie. I hope it only needs a minor tweak as I value Sandboxie highly and would prefer not going back to F-Secure 2011 if at all possible.

Kind Regards.

I have been trying different combinations of F-Secure protection to no avail, then started trying different Sandboxie settings in resource access and applications accessibility, again nothing worked. Then I had success with calling Sandboxie by right clicking I.E. in explorer and selecting run sandboxed in the drop down menu ! Hopefully this means it is only a minor tweak for Tzuk to work his magic on the normal icon.

Kind Regards

As you predicted this was a minor tweak, F-Secure 2012 adds a few more resources that need to be excluded in Sandboxie for proper software compatibility. I will have these resources in the next beta version 3.61.02 which I will release in a few days.

I would like to note that in my testing, using Run Sandboxed to start IE was not different from using the Forced Programs mechanism, the same browser lockup appeared. The lockup is not just in IE but happens also in Firefox.

I did however find out that turning off the compatibility for F-Secure in Software Compatibility in Sandboxie actually fixes the lockup, so you might want to try that as an immediate workaround until I release version 3.61.02.

Load up Firefox unsandboxed and see what new processes start running. One of them should be the tool bar.

Thanks for reply HungryMan.I have allowed every fsecure process I could find and it didn't work. The toolbar works in firefox 7.0.1 and IE 9 when unsandboxed, but it says services unavailable in both browsers when sandboxed.Again thanks for reply.

I've turned off F-Secure in security applications as you suggest and all my sandboxes are running smoothly. Thank you Tzuk for your prompt help.

In version 3.61.02, the software compatibility option for F-Secure should fix the problem reported in this topic.

Have been using Sandboxie 3.61.02 for several days to thoroughly check compatibility with all F-Secure 2012 services and toolbars on my 64 bit Windows 7 system. Everything works perfectly. Thank you Tzuk!

Kind Regards.
