Sorry for not giving a link. You can find it in the Beta Version 3.57 area of the forum, here is a direct link:

Thanks, but I would really prefer that you do this with version 3.57.07. I put the link in my earlier post in this topic. Also, I think you did not correctly copy the .sympath command, it looks like you typed the partial .sympath srv*C:\Windows\Symbols* instead of the full command --
.sympath srv*C:\Windows\Symbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols |

Thanks. I know you said earlier that you removed iolo and the problem was still there but the debug log is showing that a DLL from iolo is playing a part here. Earlier you described the program as "iolo sm" or something like that, but I'm not sure I know what that means. Can you tell me where I can get this program so I can try to install it and see if I get the same problem?

One more thing: Can you open Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services and check the status of your Windows Font Cache Service? Is it set to disabled? If so, try to enable it.
EDIT: Ok, I checked, if I set the Windows Font Cache Service to disabled, then I see the same problem with Firefox not starting properly. So I'm fairly sure that is the problem. Still, if you can give me a link for the "iolo sm" software, I would still like to have it. Thanks! |

System Mechanic Professional is the SM. Made by Iolo . I found it on their website www.iolo.com/system-mechanic/standard. I'll get to the other after dinner.

So that's it? The problem was just that the font cache service was disabled?
Hmm, we'll have to remember this in case someone else comes along and has this same issue with IE/Fx crashing sandboxed. |

yeah I know eh, funny how something simple as that can bring down a good program! I'm just happy I have my Sandboxie back in something besides Chrome.

For the sake of accuracy, this wasn't a crash, what happens is the sandboxed Firefox process suspends itself while waiting for the Windows Font Cache Service to start. But I already fixed it so it won't do that when the service is disabled, so this problem will not repeat itself with future versions.

Thanks for the clarification, I was wondering if you were going to fix that in future versions.
