Mediainfo fails to start because it cannot load DWMAPI.DLL when run in a sandbox.
Mediainfo launches fine if run unsandboxed.

FYI, I removed DWMAPI.DLL link from my software.
Corrected in development snapshot or future official version 0.7.48.

Hello!
I am using sandboxie 3.56 and I am running Windows XP 32 bits. When I am trying to run proxyfire with sandboxie it says that the file DWMAPI.DLL is missning. I looked at the help page and the latest issue and fix for this problem was to update it to a lower version then the one I am already having. Who will I get it to work?

I put DWMAPI.dll in the folder of proxyfire and now I get
The procedure entry point IsThreadDesktopComposited could not be located in
the dynamic link library USER32.DLL

before I see the DWMAPI.DLL error |

That is a Microsoft Desktop Window Manager API .
Do you use any "Windows Shell Replacement" or "Desktop Manager" software, instead of the default Windows versions?
Talisman Desktop, Aston Desktop, etc.
I'm not sure if WindowsBlinds is this type of software or not, but there is a Sandboxie compatibility template for that program that Sandboxie's Software Compatibility should have detected, if you use it.
I don't know if that would help or not, though.

Sounds like a problem similar to the one reported here,

In both cases people report an error with DWMAPI.DLL (a DLL from Vista/7) while on XP. I will try to look into this in a few days and post my findings. |
