No Internet-connection using Cyberghost in a sandbox

Hi,
I've just installed CyberGhost, an anonymizer that utilizes a VPN. But I cannot connect to the Internet when running the browser - any browser. The error message in Firefox says: "Fehler: Proxy-Server verweigert die Verbindung", and "Firefox wurde konfiguriert, einen Proxy-Server zu nutzen, der die Verbindung zurückweist." In translation: "Error: Proxy-Server refuses the connection", and "Firefox was configured to use a proxy-server which declines the connection".
Outside the Sandbox everything runs just fine.
Does anyone know a solution? Thanx in advance,
JW

CyberGhost probably needs some compatibility settings in Sandboxie. Can you give a download link for CyberGhost?

http://cyberghostvpn.com/en/product/download.html
The free version allows up to 1 TB traffic.
Regards & thank you for your answer!

I did not see any problem using CyberGhost and Sandboxie 3.55.09 on Windows XP. Browsing in Internet Explorer and Firefox in the sandbox did not produce errors, and was showing the correct "stealth" IP address.

Hi
I have just installed the product, it does not work for me. I have even DL the last Sandboxie beta release, reinstalled CyberGhost from scratch and still it does not work.

I have an error message : "There is a problem with your Cyberghost VPN installation! Should CyberGhost try to solve the problem automatically? (You need administrative privileges)". I click 'YES' and then I have a message "CyberGhost VPN has been successfully repaired. You can restart CyberGhost VPN now.".
When I restart, same cycle restarts again : error message -> reparation successful

No way to make it working.
Any specific Sandboxie settings for this sandbox ? I already unchecked 'Drop rights from Admin...'.

Any suggestion ?

This is also a good opportunity to understand things a little better for me.
I noticed CyberGhost is installing a Windows service and I guess a driver (since I am asked to restart system at the end of installation).
How does Sandboxie deal with services and drivers ??
- How can I be sure service is running (though I think I already have the answer in running 'services.msc' in the sandbox) ?
- How can I be sure the driver is loaded ? How can I load it in the sandbox ?

Thanks.

It isn't clear if you installed CyberGhost into the sandbox or not. Also please state specific version numbers when you can. When you say "the last Sandboxie beta release" this still leaves room for a misunderstanding.

Indeed.

My version of Sandboxie is 3.55.13 x64.
Version of CyberGhost is 4.7.16.1169.

I have installed CyberGhost in a dedicated sandbox. Hence there is no installation outside this sandbox.

Then I guess CyberGhost doesn't work properly in a sandbox at this time.

In any case what's discussed in the earlier part of this topic is having CyberGhost installed outside the sandbox and getting it to work with a browser in the sandbox. (And as I said earler, I did not see any problem when I tested this.)

I'm don't know what is typically required of a software setting up a VPN, and I don't know what specifically CyberGhost is trying to do, so I really can't comment on the reason that it doesn't work. But generally speaking, low-level programs that are intended to manage other programs in some way, like security software, networking software, etc, that kind of stuff generally doesn't work under Sandboxie. So I'm not sure there could be a solution here.
