Trying the appealing features of Sandboxie I found Version 2.85 to fail on my computer (Windows 2k,SP4). It installed without (noticeable) problem but every try to use it resulted in "Messages from Sandboxie Driver": SBIE2309 Could not disable COM+/DCOM: [11/ C0000034]; SBIE2309 Could not disable COM+/DCOM: [21/ C0000034]; SBIE2311 Could not disable recycle bin (BitBucket); SBIE2311 Could not disable recycle bin (BitBucket); SBIE2341 Cannout mount registry hive [C0000035 / 33].
I then tried Version 2.82; it does work but has the following problem with Firefox which is the main purpose of its use: Firefox starts when the Sandbox is empty. When Firefox is invoked a second time without the Sandbox having been deleted before, it woudn't start.
When it starts, invoked with an empty Sandbox, it uses only a part of the existing profile, the bookmark toolbar, for instance, is not shown. Upon the first start, a subfolder "DefaultBox\drive\d\..." under DefaultBox is created that corresponds to the real profile folder but contains only some of the files of the real profile folder. When Firefox is closed and invoked again, two other subfolders are created under DefaultBox "DefaultBox\drive\C\Programme\FIREFOX\components" and "DefaultBox\drive\C\WINNT\Mozilla\Firefox" but Firefox does not start.
I would be grateful for any idea what the reson for the problem with Firefox might be.
Ernst
