I won't be able to immediate look into this. So until then, can you repeat the errors you see? I might be able to offer some advice.

And if you run the program from your admin account, do you also never get this error?

running as admin, sandboxie gives the "error in COM server" poster earlier.

Did you do something to your admin account, remove any privileges, things of that sort?

no, admin account is normal. i think this program tries to inject dlls to hook other programs. if that makes any difference

for clarity, all the following applies to running as admin
installing and running this program unsandboxed, the program work as expected
installing into the sandbox, then running from sandbox, i get two "error in COM server 21/87", and program does not perform its function (its function is to scan another program's window and read/sort text from it)
i hope i can run this program sandboxed..

oops also forgot:
installed to main drive, but run sandboxed, the program does not work either
another thing that might help, when i run the program normally unsandboxed, SnoopFree gives me a warning that its trying to read my screen (which i allow) but when running sandboxed i don't get that warning

In version 3.43.07, I fixed a very small problem, which might be related to this.

Please try it and let me know if it makes any difference.

ok tzuk, some progress
i no longer get the error in COM server. however, the program still does not function properly. i've spoken to the author, and he says that he is doing OCR using PrintWindow api. so i am curious, is it standard sandboxie behavior to prevent sandboxed programs from PrintWindow'ing un-sandboxed programs? am i just out of luck?

Sandboxie generally makes it difficult for programs in the sandbox to mess with programs outside the sandbox. I don't know precisely what effect this has on the program in question but that's the general idea. Try adding a sandbox setting:
Sandbox Settings > Resource Access > Window Access
Add # first (just one hash sign), click OK, restart your program and see if it makes a difference.
If that doesn't work, remove the # and add a * (just one asterisk) and try again.
