If 3.38, maybe you should try the 3.39.xx version. |

Did you enable support for SiteAdvisor in Sandboxie Control > Configure menu > Software Compatibility ?

Yes I followed those instructions and it still does not work. It worked perfectly before the latest McAfee Site Advisor update...

connect4, which version of Sandboxie have you tried? Which operating system version? Which browser and browser version?
I received a report about this about a week ago, but I could not reproduce the problem, and then I got an update that reinstalling Sandboxie and/or SiteAdvisor resolved the problem. You can try that. |

wow THESE 2 really dont like each other ... Im chatting a Red site now. Ill take my chances.
I read earlier posts and i am now running version 338. I stayed on 334 i think it was for the longest time. But recently it had been crashing(com errors) at the sound of a sneeze. Seems stable now? But just like before. even with this compatibility mode.. Mcafee is still the color Grey... Is there a way? Or can i force Mcaffe to unsandboxed ... Giving it full access? All this happened they just have to give S.A. a driver. ME: P4 - XP PRO- SP2 |

No, it's a very active forum. It's just that SiteAdvisor doesn't have many fans here.
Besides the problem of keeping their various updates working with Sandboxie, their site ratings can be woefully out of date. In the past at least, some sites that were receiving bad ratings for the most minor of reasons, would have to wait months for McAfee to reevaluate them. Plus, pay McAfee for the reevaluation. |

Mcafee siteadvisor still doesnt work with the new version 3.42. It fails to work on both my pc (XP) and laptop (vista).
oddly, they were both working prior to formatting :S |

Just in case, I will ask: You did enable the compatibility for SiteAdvisor in Sandboxie, right?

Before releasing version 3.43.02, I tested SiteAdvisor with IE and Firefox on Windows XP and Windows Vista and it seems to work fine for me. So of course I don't see anything that needs fixing. The SiteAdvisor version I used was 2.8.292.

Compatibility with SiteAdvisor involves Sandboxie permitting access to the SiteAdvisor service outside the sandbox. This related topic described a problem in this access mechanism:
http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=6924 As I fixed those problems in version 3.43.08, it may also have an effect on compatibility with SiteAdvisor. Please try. |
