As of version 3.37.14, I've taken care of the various issues that I planned to address towards version 3.38.

The major issues are:

- Fixes to problems from version 3.36, most notably the Immediate Recovery problem.

- New Software Compatibility tool which detects third-party software and configures Sandboxie for it.

- Improved support for Windows 7 RC

There are also numerous bug fixes and some performance improvements.

I don't plan to make any more changes until version 3.38, except perhaps updating the language translations and adding new built-in templates. However, if anyone can point out a real and serious issue, I will consider taking care of it before version 3.38.

Your comments are welcome.

Everything is working very well for me in 3.37.14. Many thanks. Very Happy
One question about the newly added 'small icons' setting (via SbieCtrl_SmallIcons=Y/N).
Will v3.38 allow changing this setting via the configuration menu of sandboxie control?

Sandboxie is always stable, even in Beta. Look forward to the final release!

Hmmmmmmm I'm running W7 7077 and the betas .10 through .13 seemed fine. With this latest though, when starting the control program, my graphics driver took a holiday and restarted. Made me nervous enough to back off to .13.

I have the Sandboxie service set to Manual as I like to turn everything off when I'm not surfing. I'm on an HP Pavilion m8000n with NVidia GeForce 6150SE.

I don't understand the problem description MilesAhead. How can you tell when something happens to the graphics driver?

No, but a later version will.

The screen goes black for a few seconds, then lights up again and a message pops up saying "the graphics driver stopped responding, then restarted" or words to that effect. Hasn't happened since I backed off to .13

It happened right when I clicked the Control program and nothing else was going on, so I'm assuming it's related somehow. Smile

It's just a cosmetic issue I see on Vista where the checkboxes available in the tray icon menu are a bit cropped on the right side...

You should no longer have that problem starting with build 3.36.01 through the current beta build 3.37.15.

I started and stopped and started the control with the service on and off a few times. The .15 beta seems ok on W7 build 7077 acaict now. No black screens. Smile

edit: haven't had a glitch all day. Looks good. Smile

I think it was some random glitch, because I didn't add anything in version .14 that should cause it, and didn't fix or remove anything in version .15 to stop this from happening. Nevertheless, it's good to hear all is well now.
