Ok, thanks.

I guess this is probably something for Tzuk Smile

Maybe it's possible to employ an easy solution? You can add rundll32.exe to the set of lingering programs.

Hi Tzuk, thanks for your response!

Yes, that would be possible. But there is a bigger problem than just lingering. Deleting a file (or moving to recycle bin) gives an error message: "Item Not Found (title of the popup). Could not find this item. This is no longer located in .... Verify the item's location and try again.". After that the process lingers. Apparently there seems to be a conflict between Microsoft's Undo Manager and Sandboxie (reproduced by a few users already).

Sandboxie should "disable" the Recycle Bin within the sandbox. Please try on a newly created sandbox, with default configuration for the sandbox, and tell me if you still get the same problem. If you still have the problem, then I will investigate it myself.

As you wished, I created a new sandbox with 3.36.04. I did not install anything in that sandbox, just started the explorer (right click on sandbox).

I moved an item to the recycle bin and get the error message as described above. I tried this on Vista SP1 ultimate.

Thanks, maybe Sandboxie is not really getting the Recycle Bin to disable correctly on Vista. I'll check it.

Version 3.36.07 should resolve this problem.

It was as I suspected: The registry tweaks that Sandboxie makes inside the sandbox to disable the recycle bin were not having any effect on Windows Vista.

I am the guest who reported this problem. I tested this on Vista SP1. The "item not found" popup doesn't appear anymore. Good! However after moving or deleting an item, rundll32 (with undo manager) still lingers.

Just an upate. I tested 3.37.08. Deleting an item still makes rundll32.exe linger.

I think the best I can do is add rundll32.exe as a default lingering program.
