Also thought I would mention that the SBIE1223 error continues on Windows 7 build 7057. No worries until they have an RC. On the upshot, though, it installs successfully in my VMware machine

I am running Windows 7 and the latest version of Sandboxie (3.35.19).
When I try to run a program called Recuva I get this error message: SBIE2303 Could not hook CM_Enumerate_Classes (1) Also, when I go to Sandboxie Control > Configure > Windows Shell Integration, just pressing the Cancel button still adds a desktop shortcut for starting the Web browser. Normally I should press OK for this to happen. |

Why would you ever want to run Recuva in a sandbox? It's a file recovery utility, you *want* the changes to be permanent, and you would want the program to have all the access it can to do its job.

I will be revisiting the various issue in Windows 7 when the Release Candidate is available. Probably not sooner, I'm afraid.

@ Kind
So it has to do with my system (Windows 7)! Btw, I wasn't using the portable version. @ Guest10 No, it is checked by default: I just pressed Cancel. @ tzuk I don't have a problem with that. |

BesmirG, it turns out error SBIE2303 was not related to Windows 7 -- I got it on XP. Should be fixed in version 3.35.21. Thanks.

About sbie 3.35.21:
I extracted the files (using uniextract) and it appears that SandboxieEventSys.exe is missing. This file was present in v3.35.20. Tzuk, could you please confirm that this omission is intentional before I commit to installing this new beta. Thanks. |

| IE8 shows up with two instances of iexplore.exe |
|

Today, I used IE8. I noticed for the first time that two iexplore.exe instances show up in the Sandboxie 3.35.19 window.
iexplore.exe SandboxieRpcSs.exe SandboxieDcomLaunch.exe iexplore.exe SandboxieCrypto.exe Only the first instance has the IE8 icon. The other processes have the generic icon. There is only one IE8 window visible with only one pane. When I exit IE8, everything listed in its dedicated sandbox (IEBox) disappears. On restart, all 5 processes return to the list. The shortcut that I use to start IE8 has the following command line: "C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\Start.exe" /box:IEBox C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe I use IE8 only occassionally, when I want to avoid the NoScript addon and others in Firefox. So, I cannot say if this behavior is new, but I never noticed it before. It leaped out at me today. I spend a lot of time watching the Sandboxie window. It is usually open on my desktop. Finally, the question: Is this normal for IE8? |
