There were several reports in the past about not being fully able to utilize joysticks and similar hardware from a sandboxed program.
This might be due to Sandboxie trying to prevent full access to "Device Manager" functions, in order to prevent malware from potentially sabotaging with your devices in some way. But it may be desirable to allow such full access in some cases, so I will try to make that possible in the next version. |

Oh! It turns out Sandboxie already supports that but I forgot about it earlier. Sorry. Try going into Sandbox Settings > IPC Access > Direct Access, click Add and enter:
\RPC Control\ntsvcs Click OK. This gives the full access to the devices that I mentioned earlier. There is a little breach of protection with that setting, because the way Windows works, device management and service management is tied to the same resource. (Go figure.) But it might be an acceptable tradeoff to you, considering Flight Simulator X is not malware after all. |

Thanks for replying but it did not help. Fsx is not "seeing" the joystick control when FSX is in Sandboxie. Shame though, everything else works inside.
Thanks for help, rohen |

There was a recent fix, related to Skype and webcams:
