hi all, I have the full vers. 3.28 and am experiencing the following:
When I disable forced programs (Firefox) then delete my private data, close the Firefox browser and uncheck the disable forced programs box. Then surf the web and delete the contents of the days surfing all seems fine except my browsing history is not deleted from my Firefox browser...why is that?
Has the sandbox been bypassed?
Can this be replicated by other users
I am running version 3.0.1 of Firefox.
your help is much appreciated...

Do you have your Sandboxie Sandbox Settings set to allow Direct Access for Firefox bookmarks?
That allows bookmarks and browsing history to be saved outside of the sandbox, in the 'places.sqlite' file in the Firefox 3 profile folder.
This is a change from Firefox 2, that kept a separate file for bookmarks.
If so, then setting Firefox's option to automatically delete browsing history (in Options | Privacy | Private Data | Settings) should cause Firefox to delete that history itself, and it will not ever be stored in the sandbox where Sandboxie would delete it. Setting that Firefox option to delete browsing history, but not bookmarks, is what I do.
You must be very quick about disabling forced programs, running Firefox, deleting Private Data, shutting it down, and then un-checking the 'Disable Forced Programs'. Or, you have the time delay for 'Disable Forced Programs' set to a longer than normal number of seconds. With the settings that I described above, you don't need to disable forced programs to have the browsing history deleted.
