Sandboxie Forum - SiteAdvisor dont works after update (3961) http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3961 en-us 90 Tue Nov 18, 2008 12:42 pm Tue Nov 18, 2008 12:42 pm Penny Lane: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=28509#28509 Tue Nov 18, 2008 12:42 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=28509#28509 Hi, I see that message only on one web page. Its a german speed test page: http://www.wieistmeineip.de/speedtest/ When I start the speed test and the test is running pops up that message. Thanks Penny Lane tzuk: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=28489#28489 Mon Nov 17, 2008 8:31 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=28489#28489 I expect this happens pretty rarely? Only for "heavy" Web pages I assume? Penny Lane: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=28480#28480 Mon Nov 17, 2008 2:59 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=28480#28480 Hi, I know IŽam late, but better late as never. The "null reply" message now: (msg 00001B05 len 2123910) Version 3.32 Penny Lane tzuk: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27600#27600 Sun Oct 19, 2008 11:42 am http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27600#27600 I identified a problem that may be related to this. With an unsandboxed SiteAdvisor, the Sandboxie Service (SbieSvc) would slowly require more and more memory. It makes sense that an extended browsing session would cause SbieSvc to eventually run out of memory and fail. I think that's what happened for you. That particular problem should be fixed in version 3.31.06. Could you give it another try please? Also I increased some limits which should prevent the message -- SBIE 2203 Fehler bei der Kommunikation mit dem Sandboxie-Dienst: null reply (msg 00001B05 len 737140 ) If you still see that message, please let me know the number that you see in the message, and I will increase the limit again. Penny Lane: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27511#27511 Thu Oct 16, 2008 3:51 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27511#27511 Hi, no, the freeze/error happened on different Web pages. Penny Lane tzuk: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27489#27489 Thu Oct 16, 2008 12:46 am http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27489#27489 Thanks. While using version 3.31.04, have you noticed if the freeze/error occur on a specific Web page? Penny Lane: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27469#27469 Wed Oct 15, 2008 12:11 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27469#27469 Hi, I downgraded to 3.30 and everything works fine. Sandboxie is a great program and you are making a great work. Thanks Penny Lane Penny Lane: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27455#27455 Tue Oct 14, 2008 5:57 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27455#27455 Yes, the second problem goes on. After a while surfing, I see the erorr message "?" and sandboxed IE 7 freezes. I exit IE 7 with the Task Manager. I try to delete the sandbox but the deleting freezes too. In my opinion there are too many files in the sandbox. (more than normal) Then I can`t open sandboxed webbrowser again. (no reaction) After a windows restart it works for a while. Penny Lane tzuk: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27447#27447 Tue Oct 14, 2008 4:58 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27447#27447 Fiirst, regarding message SBIE2203. This should appear rarely and not interfere so probably not a reason to worry. I will try to fix it anyway. Does the second problem still happen? Penny Lane: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27417#27417 Mon Oct 13, 2008 2:40 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27417#27417 Hi, now two times Sandboxie 3.31.04 stoppt working. When I surfing, sometimes I became an error message with a " ? ", than I try to delete the Sandbox, and a sandclock shows me it dont works. I close window and try to start sandboxed webbrowser again, but it dont start again. After a windows restart it works for a while. What happened? Penny Lane Penny Lane: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27415#27415 Mon Oct 13, 2008 1:52 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27415#27415 Congratulations, it works fine. Its magic, the button is green now. :D Only on a german DSL speedtest page: http://www.wieistmeineip.de/start/ I became an error message. SBIE 2203 Fehler bei der Kommunikation mit dem Sandboxie-Dienst: null reply (msg 00001B05len737140) I dont know what it means. Thanks for your support Penny Lane tzuk: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27403#27403 Mon Oct 13, 2008 9:13 am http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27403#27403 Please try version 3.31.04 and let me know if it resolves the problem. http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=4052 tzuk: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27379#27379 Sun Oct 12, 2008 4:33 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27379#27379 The new Site Advisor works differently, and the ATL exclusion is no longer needed, and you should probably remove it. I think that tomorrow I will have a version for you to try. Penny Lane: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27360#27360 Sat Oct 11, 2008 5:43 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27360#27360 Thats great news, I will try it, if the new version is available. What about the ATL fix? Must I cancel the ATL fix or not? Thanks Penny Lane tzuk: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27341#27341 Fri Oct 10, 2008 2:46 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27341#27341 I was able to fix the problem. I have an unsandboxed Site Advisor 2.8.292 accessible and usable from within a sandboxed Internet Explorer browser. I will release the next beta version of Sandboxie early next week, you should be able to try it out at that time. tzuk: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27324#27324 Thu Oct 09, 2008 9:48 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27324#27324 Yeah, actually, that's the thing I've been looking into for the past couple of hours, but I'm not done yet. So there is some news, and I will have more news later, maybe even tomorrow. To keep it from getting that pushed buggy update to 2.8, you can block the update with a HIPS program. An alternative to SA is WOT. WOT in my IE7 plays and works fine with Sandboxie. tzuk: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=26768#26768 Tue Sep 23, 2008 9:40 pm http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=26768#26768 Sorry, not yet, I didn't get a chance. The forum software tries to send mail that invaild email address and gets errors. I decided to disable topic notifications altogether, because it's probably a bad idea to let other people decide the email address to which my site is going to send emails. ]]>Quoting Penny Lane: ]]>Maybe tzuk had an idea or a fix for the new SiteAdvisor version works with Sandboxie. ]]> Last time this was reported, I could not download the newer version but I will try again and let you know what I find out. In the last little while, it Updates itself, .. without your Permission from v2.6 to v2.8. That's when all the Problems happen. Version 2.8 is nothing but a Piece of "Junk". If you don't believe me, here's a Link to the Official SiteAdvisor Help Forums. There's a lot of "Unsatisfied Users over there. Within a Couple days, it'll Update it self again, and you'll be back to where you were.
