I'm also having trouble running 2 versions of Vanguard on one computer
with Sandboxie. I've tried running one sandboxed, both sandboxed, etc.
No dice. Can anyone offer some suggestions? I'm hoping that I'm
overlooking something rather simple.
Thanks! |
if you tried to run in seperate sandboxes and that doesn't work the problem is not rather simple i think :p

Hey guys ,
I was directed here by a fellow gamer, since im wanting to run 2 instances of Vanguard Saga of Heroes on my system... just a few questions
1.) Am i goin to have to reinstall the game "sandboxed"
2.) Will i have to make any scripts or anything inorder for this to work?
I tried searching the site a bit ( lack of time due to work) just hoping someone could give me a heads up on whats gonna needed on my end.
Thanks,
Jjay |
you can just run the game sandboxed in two different sandboxes they won't see each other |

Haven't looked at the demo (or trace) yet. But I did fix the pipe problem on Windows Server 2003, and now Steam starts on that OS.
So I think we'll do it this way. I want to look at only a couple or so more problems reported, before I release the beta. So I'll finish with that, then release the beta, and then you can test your demo again. If it still fails then, I'll look into it. |

| street011, I got your trace. Will look into it soon. Can you also provide a download link? I think that in another couple of days, I'm finaly going to be able to start looking seriously into recent problems. |

installing in sandboxie, i don't whant any crap from the installation or game to reside on my system after i've seen the demo.
all that installing/uninstalling f*cks up my windows (conflicts, errors and a vastly slow system) and before sandboxie this got me to install my windows at least every two months. So i need that "install in sandboxie" to work 99,9% of the time to hold on to sandboxies primary effect (for me then) |

SndPhoenix,
the part that gave problems with Server 2003 was only about a very specific Pipe error.
Mostly XP and server 2003 function the same way... so it'd be a good thing if you tested it also... |

Dont know if this really matters or not, but i found some more mirrors
http://www.filemirrors.com/search.src?file=ColinMcRaeDIRT_Demo.exe&size=874393513
Now i would test this out myself and see if i get the same problem, but im running XP and you said the problem only occurs with Windows 2003, i do have 2003 enterprise r2 though, but i have barely any free space left on my HD, so i cant install 2003 on a seperate partition |
