Guys, it's only a few days more before this is released to MSDN and TechNet.
And we should not expect tzuk to test on "leaked" builds.
Whether you choose to buy the license is another matter. |

And we are coming back to the point described in 1st post. RTM is old well tested RC build which contains only bug fixes without new features. Number of the build is higher but it's same kernel, same OS...
Tzuk "is not able" to support build which is not officially released yet. He has to test it, "look" at it.
I'm afraid Tzuk will never stop blocking installation on "unknown" Windows builds. That's good for most of people but not for me... it's the reason why I will never buy licence. I really would like to buy one and I'm pretty sure it's worthy but I just can't. |

| Sandboxie 3.81.xx supports only build 8400 to avoid potential crashes by newer kernels which might change internal structures. But I am sorry to say that I am not going to download a leaked build, and Sandboxie support for builds beyond 8400 will have to wait until an official release of Windows 8. |

| So, under safe mode too, the driver just fails to install silently in Winx64 8 RTM. any plans to fix it anytime soon? thanks. |

| Looks like the latest beta does not work with Win8 RTM 64. |

Hi
it's the lastest version of Sandboxie stable or beta working in Windows 8 RTM?
Thanks. |

At this time, Sandboxie on 64-bit Windows 8 can offer fewer protection methods than Sandboxie on 64-bit Windows 7. I commented about that in another topic:
http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=13211
This regression in functionality is not related to any security enhancements of the Windows kernel, which seem to me to be largely focused on adding a "no rights" execution environment for Metro apps.
* * *
I probably won't be adding support for Metro because I don't think it is needed. Similar to a smartphone, apps are already highly restricted, and are isolated in their own installation folder. I don't think that Sandboxie can add much on top of what a smartphone-like environment such as Metro already offers. |

Hello.
I have a question regarding Windows 8.
There will be any difference between win7/win8 in security when it comes to sandbox?
Win7 sanbox enviroment is pretty secure, I was wondering how this is going to change compare to win8.
I realy hope when win8 os will mature in time you're going to add full Metro support.
I'm ready to switch to win8, but I'm not going to hide if SB is/will be less secure that will keep me to stay much longer on win7.
Great program! |
